Bahram Alavi is the founder and president of Atlas Ocular, Inc. He has worked for over 20 years in the healthcare and medical device field and started his career at Medtronic. Mr. Alavi’s father was an expert and compassionate orthopedic surgeon and attending professor at Tehran University in Tehran Iran. He was the inspiration and spark which lead to Mr. Alavi’s interest in the biotechnology space. Mr. Alavi cites his father always saying, “no matter what you do in life, do it to the best of your ability”. This premise resonates throughout the culture of Atlas Ocular where the best people, quality technology, and superior customer service merge in providing an exceptional customer experience.
Samuel S. Stopak, M.D. Medical Director
Dr. Stopak is graduate of George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science, Zoology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine and completed an internship at Emory Affiliated Hospitals. His residency was at Georgetown University School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology in Washington DC, where he was also name Associate Chief Resident on the Ophthalmology Residency Education Committee. In addition, he completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology, specializing in Cornea and External Disease. In addition to his private practice Dr. Stopak has been appointed Clinical Assistant Professor and Director Cornea Services, Department of Ophthalmology George Washington University Medical Center. He is also a cornea consultant at Washington Hospital Center. He has been the president and chairman of the board at Eye Care Incorporated and in 1993 was president of the Washington DC Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Stopak has authored multiple publications and presentations and has been named to Washington DC’s “Top Doctor’s” list 7 years.
